Riding through a deep body of water on the back of a
calm horse is one of the most delightful things to experience.....The sun
causes the water to form into a spotless mirror reflecting a brilliant image.
All is silent for a moment. The horse takes a graceful step forward only to
shatter the pristine mirror and create a lazy undulation across the lake.
Bright green grass develops a neat border around the water as the horse
attempts to steal a bite of its sweetness. Moving forward causes a cloud of mud
to come bubbling up from below. Then, it happens- The magical display, the
diamonds; glistening water droplets that fly up from the horse's muscular, splashing body.
The facets of water catch rays of sunlight. The pure gems collide and then
break against the horse and rider. A few remain shinning in the horse's mane
and the rider's hair creating a fairy-tale like picture- "The bejeweled
rider". However, the radiance cannot last forever. After leaving the water,
the droplets leave a temporary sheen only to dry and disappear. Such is the
pleasant picture created when entering the water as the rider's boots and the
horse's legs glide across the glossy surface.

It sounds so pretty:) I've ridden a horse once and never through a body of water.
ReplyDeleteIt is a blast! Of course it helps of your horse is not afraid of getting into the water.....Then it isn't so fun, but my horse is good with it. Thanks for posting!
